Narrative description of the project:
A Detailed Plan of National Importance was prepared for MW section Lendava – Pince in July 2004 providing instructions and limitations for Main Design documentation and later actual construction. The project was divided into 3 stages, from which the stages B and C were designed by BPI Ltd.
Stage B:
The route of MW Lendava – Pince starts at km 0+000 and follows the existing Lendava bypass route until it reaches km 1+500, where it crosses the Ledava river and another smaller stream in “S” curve. It completely bypasses historical site of Gabo Kert from km 4+300 to km 4+700 as it turns towards Dolnji Lakoš. It then crossed the railroad Lendava – Čakovec and over the northern part of the old spa area bypasses Nafta Lendava oil plant. The route then turns North and misses the Zatek village for about 120 m before connecting with Hungarian route over Dolinski pašniki area at International border crossing Pince.
Stage C:
This stage represents the Expressway route, that starts at International Border Crossing Dolga vas and joins the existing Lendava Bypass in km 1+000. It then turns North, following the existing road to km 2+000 where it turns South and bypasses Dolga vas at its furthest western end. At km 3+000, the existing Bypass crosses the Kobiljski potok stream and connects to the Motorway in thr “Dolga vas” junction.
